They are a pleasure to make, a challenge to glaze (I am still exploring the best combinations) and I think are handsome for displaying or for holding fruit or pinecones, or chips or salad - anything your average bowl might hold.
Different from your average bowl is their organic edge which gives them a meditative quality. You can ponder them. The bowls looks different from every angle.
The undulations remind me of landscapes with hills or mountains - I was contemplating giving them names of U.S. states, Wyoming, Missouri, etc. when the edge matches the topography of the state.
This last one is a graphite gray outside. Generally I like the outside textured and darker than the inside and none of it too glossy.
This is a medium sized bowl in green.
The bowls all are made on the same hump mold so they nest very nicely together. I wonder how tall I can make the stack. More are on the way.
